
Welcome to my little slice of heaven, I call it “The Proving Grounds”.
Or if you prefer to battle in space, why not?

My vision is to have a system where you battle in various locations on and around the planets in our solar system.
I want you to feel like you’re contributing to the First Solar War (More on that later).
What I really want to show off today is how far the editor has come.
Scale: This was a difficult concept to wrap my brain around, but I’ve got it now.
If you’ve never used Blender, boy do you need to learn it.
I used to think I preferred 2d because it was easier. Wrong. Dead wrong.
3D Is harder to set up but once you do, the sky is the limit.
So what I’m working on next is getting the scale of everything working together in a 1 meteric measurement system.

This is a Nightmare Grimlick, he looks pretty well proportioned to the Aether crystal he will mine.
But…

He’s larger than an entire building! This is so weird.
So having our engine know how big things are in relation to each other is so important.

There we go. That looks better. See his nose sticking out?
This feels right.
I’m really hoping to get the demo out soon, featuring 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and even 4v4 battles!
